Happy 2011...{Merry CHRISTMAS!}

Have you ever just needed to take a five second break, throw your face into a pillow, and scream?

Welcome to my world.

For the past week, I have wanted to do this daily.
Maybe it is the stress of rushing to get everything done before Christmas..Hmm.
OR maybe it's the fact that some people are DRIVING ME CRAZY.
Or maybe I am just extremely overwhelmed combined with the two mentioned above.
Yep. That's it.

I work incredibly hard EVERY YEAR to make my child's Christmas the best it can be.
I have traditions that I want to continue each year (and I will—no matter WHAT!)
My little family has a certain way of doing things & we like it that way.
Well, it's been a struggle the past few years.
I'm tired.
I am annoyed.
And, I need to breathe.
That's it.
I need people to magically...GET IT.
They don't.

I love Christmas. It’s my absolute favorite time of year. BUT, it makes the crazy in everyone come out.
I just want to RELAX, eat some delicious food, open presents with my child, and kiss my little family.
THAT’S IT. I don’t want the drama of THIS OR THAT. I don’t want the people that ruin it for everyone to do that yet again this year. I just want everyone to CHILL OUT and enjoy the time they get to spend with their family.
I’m praying for peace. Just peace, all around. And a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

This year, we have decided to do SANTA…well, just the three of us. We haven’t done this since Canyon was born. We always have both sets of grandparents there to witness everything.

This year, we are going to try something NEW. We’ll still have our parents there AFTER we do Santa as a family…to see what Canyon got for Christmas, etc.

But, I have to admit, I am pretty excited about this. I guess we’ll see how it goes.

FIVE MORE DAYS.

On a much lighter (and less venting) note, I cannot wait for my VERY handsome four-year-old’s Christmas play this week. We’ve been practicing all his songs for about a week now and the word confusion is PRICELESS.
It should definitely be entertaining. :)
AND, we are taking him to see Phineas and FERB…which I cannot wait for.
The kid LOVES the show and well, so do Dale and I.
This is the last BLOG of 2011.
I’ll return with some crazy stories. That I am completely sure of. And, also with my VERY MERRY controversial blog that you people are patiently waiting for.
It’s a winner.

Dear Readers,
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Please remember the real reason for Christmas and celebrate baby Jesus. Without him, my life wouldn’t be as blessed as it is and I am truly BEYOND thankful for everything in my life.
I hope that NO MATTER WHAT crazy family drama YOU have going on this holiday season, you can put it aside and remember that it’s really not worth it.
If you have children, make Christmas special for them. Start a family tradition.
Canyon loves our traditions and I plan to continue them for as long as my child(ren) will let me.
I cannot wait until 2012. SOOOO many wonderful things going on in my life next year.
I look forward to sharing my journey with all of you.
Love,
B
